Our story
KS Cooling was established in 2021 by directors Kelvin Haywood and Scott Gray, bringing together vast experience built across their entire working careers. Both began in the industry at 15, completing formal college training before progressing through distinctly different areas of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Kelvin’s background spans Air Conditioning, Commercial Refrigeration and industrial applications, progressing through installation and service engineering into responsibility for complex commercial projects from an early age. His experience ranges from individual split systems and cold rooms to large-scale commercial installations, production cooling and high-capacity chilled-water systems.
Scott built his career predominantly within supermarket Refrigeration, developing extensive experience in complex pack systems before progressing into a supervisory role covering a substantial service region. His experience also includes emerging Refrigeration technologies, including involvement in commissioning the first CO₂ Refrigeration plant across the Morrisons estate.
Their careers eventually brought them together while working for a large national Refrigeration company supporting major supermarket estates. A shared work ethic and ambition ultimately led to the formation of KS Cooling.
The business began without inherited contracts or an established customer base. Everything since has been built organically — through reputation, recommendation and consistently delivering on the commitments we make to our customers.

KS Cooling works as an authorised service and warranty partner for a number of established Refrigeration manufacturers, providing specialist technical support on their behalf across the region. These relationships are built on proven technical competence, with manufacturer-specific training and accreditation required for a number of the products and systems we support.
This continued exposure to a broad range of equipment and technologies strengthens the knowledge within our business and maintains close working relationships with the manufacturers behind the equipment. That experience carries through into every area of KS Cooling, giving our customers access to a team that understands equipment beyond installation, with the technical knowledge to diagnose, maintain and support systems throughout their working life.
